Designed from the outset for raised access flooring systems, both grille types manufactured by HVC are sized 599mm square overall, for perfect fitment into 600mm square systems.
Flanged and recessed grilles are available to suit different flooring systems, and each can be manufactured to suit a variety of tile depths. Type A Computer Room Floor Grilles are the flanged variety, and are cut to the required depth, Type B grilles on the other hand have fitted feet to raise them to the specified tile depth.
Confidence in a product is paramount, especially with millions of pounds worth of servers and accessories potentially relying on the strength of grilles supporting them. Both Heavy Grade Type A and Heavy Grade Type B Computer Room Floor Grilles have been independently tested to satisfy BS13264:2001, for utmost peace of mind.
This unbelievable strength does not come at the expense of mass however. Both grilles use a new reinforcing extrusion designed by ourselves to create the immense strength needed to gain the aforementioned certification. This means Type A grilles have a mass of less than 9Kg, with Type B grilles still under 12Kg.
Being a standardised product, the range of options available for Computer Room Floor Grilles is limited. However we do offer a range of coating types in addition to linished aluminium finish, including polyester or nylon coating. Rear mounted opposed blade dampers are also available, for integrated volume control.
