The standard operation method for fire dampers.
Fusible links are held across the retracted damper blade pack, preventing it from closing at normal temperatures.
Consisting of two parts, at normal temperatures the link is held together preventing the blade pack from closing. Once the rated temperature has been reached though, the two parts seperate, allowing the blade pack to close.
Holding the link together is a layer of solder formulated to melt at one of four temperatures.
Our links also incorporate an anti-creep feature as standard.
