Non Vision grilles are designed for use in areas where privacy must be maintained. HVC's special NV blade design blocks line of sight, whilst also retaining adequate free area to maintain ventilation.

Bathrooms, conference suites and GP's surgery rooms, these are just some of the places where privacy inside the room needs to be maintained. Of course ventilation also needs to be maintained, and if grilles are not chosen carefully, privacy of people can be jeopardized. HVC Series NV Non Vision grilles have a blade arrangement designed to block line of sight through the grilles, whilst maintaining enough free area to provide adequate ventilation.
We manufacture four types of Non Vision grille, each with their own application. NV1 grilles are a standard grille, NV2 grilles add a backing flange, perfect for mounting in doors. NV3 grilles are a double layered arrangement, designed for darkrooms, and NV4 grilles are slim line surface mounted units, designed for use with S300 in-door fire dampers, or intumescent fire blocks.
Description
Non Vision models 1 - 3 incorporate a chevron blade design, spaced so that line of sight is blocked from any angle. Series NV4 grilles, being slim line designed to sit proud of a door have a different non chevron blade, which blocks line of sight from almost every angle.
Constructed from entirely extruded aluminium, Series NV Non Vision grilles are intrinsically strong yet light. Being aluminium also helps in areas like bathrooms where exposure to high humidity on a regular basis would result in steel corroding.
For fire doors, NV4 surface mounted Non-Vision grilles are perfect. Sitting proud of the door and leaving enough clearance to allow a HVC S300 in-door Fire Damper to sit within the door. Confirmed to withstand 6 hours fire testing in accordance with BS476-20, these fire dampers are specifically designed for fire doors.
