Penthouse louvres have recently found a new lease of life in the expanding natural ventilation world, where the advantages of stack ventilation, and the cost savings it brings are now being realised.
The exceptional air handling characteristics of HVC PHL Penthouse Louvres are still relevant however in the world of forced ventilation. This ability to handle exceptional air volumes, and the fact they are roof mounted often means penthouse louvres are the best choice air terminal for emergency smoke extraction systems, when used with smoke shafts etc.
HVC Series PHL Penthouse louvres use the same blade profiles as WL50 and WL75 type standard weather louvres, and so retain the excellent resistance to rain ingress displayed by those weather louvres. Aesthetically as well, HVC PHL louvres are truly in a class of their own, with mitred corners as standard, you will not find any ugly corner sections on our penthouse louvres, and with the capability to powder coat to whatever RAL or BS colour you choose, you are guaranteed a great looking louvre.
Functionality wise, HVC PHL louvres are also, far and away in a class of their own. They are designed to integrate perfectly with our unique and copyrighted uPVC Volume control damper. Combine these two systems, and you have an assembly truly unsurpassed anywhere in the HVAC industry. See the options section to find out more about out uPVC Volume control damper, or see the related section for information on HVC natural ventilation products.
Being such an integral part of natural ventilation systems, penthouse louvres benefit from one of the most comprehensive range of options available with any HVC product: The noise insulating benefits that come from double skinned insulated roofs, the functionality of internal divider plates enabling a single penthouse to use the wind's own power to enable a single penthouse to perform supply and extract duties, and the easy access to equipment such as our new uPVC Volume control damper allowed by our range of integrated louvre doors.
