During a fire flames can easily spread through ductwork, quickly reaching other areas of a building and turning a localised fire into a widespread fire. To safeguard against this spread only high quality, certified equipment such as S100AM stainless steel bladed fire dampers should be used.
S100AM Fire Dampers provide the peace of mind you need by being certified to appropriate British and International standards. In the event of fire you can be assured HVC dampers will provide valuable protection.

The whole S100A range of Fire Dampers uses a blade pack which is partially exposed to the airstream during normal operation. This saves space as a blade containing area as shown by our S100B range of fire dampers is not needed. However it does mean that we only recommend S100AM fire dampers are used in low velocity systems.
S100AM Fire Dampers have a stainless steel blade pack (grades 430, 316 and 304 available) for greater resistance to corrosion than fully galvanised units. If you are looking for a truly corrosion resistant damper however then look to Series S100AS fully stainless units.
Fire protection has to be a top priority, that is why all HVC S100 Fire Dampers are confirmed to satisfy BS1366-2 (ISO10294-1), an extreme test requiring dampers to last 4 hours in a fire while being subjected to 300Pa of pressure. BS476-20, an endurance test lasting 6 hours at ambient pressure has also been passed, and S100AM Fire Dampers also conform to DW144 leakage requirements.
Fire dampers are not in test conditions however when fitted into a real building, and dust and corrosion are real factors that can hinder the operation of a fire damper in an emergency. That is why HVC S100 Fire Dampers have undergone reliability and dust loading tests, to prove they can be counted on at all times.
As usual, HVC do not make you pay for added extras you may not want or need with your S100AM Fire Damper. However should you desire remote operation equipment, resettable fusible links, visual position indicators or any other accessory, they are available factory fitted straight from HVC.

Greater Resistance to Corrosion
Adding a stainless steel frame, S100AS Fire Dampers build on S100AM Fire Dampers, bringing the maximum level of corrosion resistance |
|
HEVAC or Plasterboard Frame Needed?
With the choice of either, S100AMH Fire Dampers bring the additional benefits of a builderswork frame |
|
Circular Spigot
S100AM Fire Dampers are designed for square ducting systems. For circular systems S100CM Fire Dampers are required |

Mid to High Velocity Airstream?
With a blade pack held outside the airstream, S100BM Fire Dampers are essential in anything but low velocity systems |
