High quality fire dampers are essential in buildings today. Regulations demand them, as does the need to protect occupants and the huge investment that has often gone into modern buildings.
S100ASH Fire Dampers are fully stainless steel, and come with a full range of BS and ISO certification to give you peace of mind that in the event of fire, you have the best equipment installed.

Series S100ASH Fire Dampers are entirely stainless steel, grades 430, 316 and 304 are available. This fully stainless construction results in a damper suitable for environments which would be too harsh for a regular galvanised steel damper.
With a blade pack partially protruding into the airstream during normal operation, S100ASH dampers are only recommended for use in low velocity systems. They also come with a galvanised steel installation frame, either HEVAC or plasterboard. Designed to completely integrate the damper into the fire partition, the whole divide becomes much stronger and helps to prevent any breaks occurring around the damper through which fire could spread.
All HVC S100 Fire Dampers have undergone extensive testing to BS and ISO standards. S100ASH Fire Dampers conform to both BS1366-2 (ISO10294-1) and BS476-20. The former being a 4 hour fire test, with a pressure against the closed damper of 300Pa, the latter being a 6 hour endurance test. These dampers also fully satisfy DW144 leakage tests.
Ventilation systems however are very rarely clean, so it could be argued that in the real world fire dampers will experience conditions different to those found in test centres. For example, the build up of dust over time can be detrimental to the performance of a fire damper should it need to fire. We have thought of this, and so S100 Fire Dampers have been tested for dust loading, damper and spring cycling and salt spray corrosion; in all cases the dampers were seen to close perfectly.
S100ASH Fire Dampers are as standard fusible link operated dampers, designed to stand alone in ductwork and fire when the temperature reaches that specified on the fusible link. Should this not be sufficient, we offer factory fitted accessories including electromagnets and solenoids, designed to integrate into alarm systems and fire upon command.

Fully Stainless Too Much?
If the superb corrosion resistance of S100ASH Fire Dampers is not needed, S100AMH Fire Dampers with their galvanised steel frame are more suitable |
|
Don't Need an Installation Frame?
If a HEVAC or Plasterboard fixing frame is not required, S100AS Fire Dampers are therefore more suitable |
|
Circular Spigot
S100AMH Fire Dampers are designed for square ducting systems. For circular systems S100CGH Fire Dampers are required |

Mid to High Velocity Airstream?
With a blade pack held outside the airstream, S100BSH Fire Dampers are essential in anything but low velocity systems |
