The need to ventilate not only means occupant comfort is improved, but also creates pathways for fire to travel through, enabling a localised fire to become widespread in a short space of time.
Just like you would use a fire door to keep flames within one room, so you should use fire dampers to prevent the spread through ducting. It goes without saying that such a severe threat demands the highest quality equipment to tackle it.

The H in S100CSH denotes that this fire damper has a factory fitted installation frame. These frames are designed to integrate the damper into the surrounding building work, and, in the event of a fire aid the partition in maintaining its integrity and so helping to prevent the spread of fire.
The S also denotes a full stainless steel construction, with the choice of 430, 316 or 304 grade stainless. This makes S100CSH Fire Dampers highly resistant to corrosion by substances like salt or chlorine.
In addition to a full stainless steel construction, S100CSH Fire Dampers come certified to a range of appropriate fire tests, designed to confirm the excellent performance of this range of fire dampers. All S100 Fire Dampers have been tested to, and successfully passed BS1366-2 (ISO10294-1) and BS476-20 fire tests.
The dampers which obtained the fire ratings though had not been sat in ductwork for years. Obviously this needs to be simulated and then tested to inspire real confidence in your dampers. So, the effects of dust loading, cycling and salt spray tests have all been simulated on S100 Fire Dampers. In all cases the tested dampers were observed to close and latch perfectly afterwards.
Need remote operation? Or perhaps resettable links for easy maintenance? No problem. With the range of factory fitted options shown in the options tab above, you can make your fire dampers suit your needs perfectly.

Fully Stainless Too Much?
If the superb corrosion resistance of S100ASH Fire Dampers is not needed, S100CMH Fire Dampers with their galvanised steel frame are more suitable |
|
Don't Need an Installation Frame?
If a HEVAC or Plasterboard fixing frame is not required, S100CS Fire Dampers are therefore more suitable |
|
Square/Rectangular Spigot
S100CMH Fire Dampers are designed for circular ducting systems. For square systems S100BSH Fire Dampers are required |
|
Flat Oval Spigot
Perhaps you need a flat oval spigot not circular. S100DSH Fire Dampers will be of more use to you |
