Water sprinklers and extinguisher systems are all well and good, but what happens if they fail to put out a fire?
The fight becomes focused towards isolating the fire, and minimising the damage to your building. This is where fire dampers come in, like HVCs S100DMH damper. Read on to find out more.

S100DMH Fire Dampers give you the choice of having either a HEVAC or plasterboard fixing frame, bonding the damper into the surrounding masonry and preventing breaks from occurring around the periphery. The flat oval spigot makes connection into flat oval ductwork systems possible.
These fire dampers also have a stainless steel blade pack, boasting a far greater resistance to corrosion than the equivalent fully galvanised unit. The blade pack itself is held entirely outside the airstream, enabling use in any velocity airstream.
Fire testing for fire dampers is obviously incredibly important, so all HVC S100 Fire Dampers have been independently tested to a range of BS and ISO test standards including BS1366-2 (ISO10294-1) and BS476-20. You can also be certain of low leakage thanks to compliance with DW144 standards.
We know though that the insides of ducts are rarely as clean as test house conditions. Years of dust being carried through the damper in the airstream can result in moving parts becoming clogged, stopping the damper closing in an emergency. So, we have put S100 Fire Dampers through dust loading, reliability and spring cycling tests, so you can be confident in the performance of your HVC fire damper.
HVC also gives you the ability to suit your damper exactly to your building, without needing to fit additional equipment on site. See the options tab above to find out about what we can do.

Installation Frame Not Required?
Suppose you do not need a HEVAC or plasterboard fixing frame, S100DM Fire Dampers have all the advantages of S100AMH Fire Dampers without the builderswork frame |
|
Need a stainless frame as well?
Corrosive substances can wreak havoc with galvanised steel, S100DSH Fire Dampers have a fully stainless blade pack and internal frame, for maximum corrosion resistance |
|
Square/Rectangular Spigot
S100DMH Fire Dampers are designed for flat oval ducting systems. For square systems S100BMH Fire Dampers are required |
|
Circular Spigot
Perhaps you need a circular spigot instead of flat oval? S100CMH Fire Dampers will be of more use to you |
