S200 Fire Dampers are different: They are designed to fit mostly into the duct rather than the have the duct fit to them, whilst still having the same fire protection properties as their S100 cousins.

Application
- Endurance Tested to BS476-20 by Warrington F.R.C. for 6 hours with guaranteed closure in both vertical and horizontal planes
- Tested to the latest BS1366-2 (ISO10294-1) for the maximum 4 hours at 300 Pascals by the Building Research Establishment

S200BM Fire Dampers use a stainless steel blade pack instead of the regular galvanised steel. This results in a damper with far greater inherent resistance to corrosive substances, chlorine and salt for example.
Because this series of fire damper keeps its blade pack protruding from the top of the duct, rather than being entirely inside it, S200BM Fire Dampers are suitable for use in high velocity airstreams.
Description
These fire dampers have undergone the same fire testing as S100 regular fire dampers. They have been independently certified to BS1366-2 (ISO10294-1) and BS476-20, giving you the peace of mind that you have the very best equipment installed.
With the blade pack protruding outside the duct, obviously a section of duct needs to be cut away. To avoid problems with leakage, we have incorporated a top flange coming out at 90 degree from just below the blade pack. This can be used to overlap with the ducting, and so create an effective seal.
