Application

  • Endurance Tested to BS476-20 by Warrington F.R.C. for 6 hours
  • Exceptionally slim 38mm profile particularly suitable for fire door installation
  • Gravity operated so installation must be vertical
  • All galvanised steel construction
  • Blades in airstream

S300 Fire Dampers are designed specifically for installation in fire doors, as an alternative to intumescent fire dampers. At just 38mm deep, they are slimmer than their intumescent cousins, saving space within the door and creating more distance between the damper and any grille you may choose to use.

They can also be made in much larger sizes than Intumescents. Whereas the maximum size for an IFB is 600mm square, S300AG Fire Dampers can go on up to 1000mm square.

Description

Despite their incredibly slim profile, S300 in-door fire dampers have a truly exceptional six hour fire rating. Certified to BS476-20, HVC has engineered a damper under 4cm deep, that can hold back an inferno for up to six hours. In fact, the door itself is more likely to fail than the damper.

To achieve this unbelievable performance, we have removed spring mechanisms to make a the S300AG a gravity operated damper. Obviously this means these dampers must only be used in a vertical position, with the blade pack at the top.

Fusible link temperature is factory set at 72 degrees Celsius.
