Designed to permit air to flow in only one direction, preventing heat loss or backflow through intermittently used ducts - Also known as non-return dampers.
Read MoreBack draught shutters, also known as non-return dampers are designed to permit air to flow in only one direction, making them useful for applications where a duct is only used at intervals and needs to be shut down when not in use to prevent heat loss or backflow.
Series BDS units have all major components manufactured from aluminium extrusions, ensuring an inherent high resistance to corrosion and minimal weight.
As standard back draught shutters are supplied with unlinked blades, however for applications with duct velocities exceeding 5 m/s we recommend the specification of linked blades; this adds a concealed linkage which connects each blade, and has the effect of smoothing the motion like the blades open and close. This linkage can also be equipped with removable weights, allowing dampers to be set up on-site to open and close at specific pressures.
Back draught shutters are manufactured in-house to your requirements, with HVC's industry beating lead times.
